• BOXING
    POW's boxing program offers a unique and comprehensive training schedule. Our boxing is suitable for all levels and we welcome newcomers. We have a great mix of adult women and men, many with aspirations of competing that are fulfilled through amateur tournaments like the Golden Gloves, as well as several local fighting cards. However, if you are drawn to the overall physical and cardiovascular benefits of boxing and you have a desire to learn how to box, POW is perfect for you. We offer several different types of boxing classes. Use various tools to cross-training your body and develop punching power, footwork skills and the necessary level of boxing conditioning.
 
 

 
  • KICK BOXING/MUAY THAI
    POW offers several different types of Kickboxing and Muay Thai classes. Most of the students that are interested in Kickboxing also take boxing classes. This provides a very well-rounded and intense training program. Each class offered on the schedule is different. We purposely structure all our classes differently to keep our students motivated. By designing several types of kickboxing/muay thai and boxing classes that cross-train the body, you are more likely to avoid injuries and achieve a balanced workout regiment conducive to martial athletic skills.
 
 

 
  • KRAV MAGA

    The training of Krav Maga focuses on teaching simple self-defense techniques which are specifically catered to reality based attack situations. In addition, Krav Maga's system is an integration of many techniques from several different martial arts and even uses a an American MMA fighting stance. Therefore, Krav Maga uses many boxing, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing drills. When taking Krav Maga you can expect the class to also focus on conditioning. The purpose of this is to train the body to perform punches, kicks etc.. under intense physical stress. Classes will also incorporate the proficient self-defense techniques that they teach to law enforcement personnel. Sanctioned wraps required, see our store for proper equipment.

 
 

 
  • JIU JITSU/MMA
    POW!'s Jiu-Jitsu program is one of the best! It is lead by Coach Dino Costeas. Our program teaches the fundamentals of Brazilian JJS with its focus on grappling, ground fighting, MMA, self-defense and sport JJS. The training involved in JJS improves reaction time, builds abdominal strength, and increases flexibility and overall core strength. Among many things, students will learn to execute takedowns and to escape being mounted, choked and grabbed from many angles.

    Part of Dino's role as the Director of BJJ and MMA is to lead, train and coach members of POW that decide to fight MMA. These individuals range in experience and meet 3 times a week for a dedicated training. Their training is done as a team helping to build team spirit.   • SIGNATURE CLASSES
    POW offers an array of signature classes. These classes all focus on developing better martial arts skills. Their purpose is to offer a fun, dynamic, cross-training format so that students can always be exposed to a balanced fitness program. These classes always implore the latest training concepts and tools. These classes integrate the best boxing, kickboxing, tae kwon do and muay thai drills with innovative athletic concepts.
 
 

 
  • YOUTH
    The youth program at POW! is a boxing program. It focuses on teaching boxing fundamentals and developing the kid's coordination and agility The class is held in our boxing ring. We teach the basics of boxing including how to punch and block. However, there is much more to this class than the basic execution of jabs, hooks and uppercuts. We also teach our kids footwork, coordination and the importance of exercise. We incorporate many conditioning drills including calisthenics, sports drills and body weight exercises. Sparring is an optional component to this class and is left up to the parents to decide. We offer class on Wednesdays at 5:30pm with Tim Skolnik. It is $115 for 8 classes or $90 for 5 classes.
